Entrepreneurs vs. investors: a match made in heaven?

On Thursday evening, 15 December 2022, Deminor and dups organised their annual debate evening. This time, the theme was: “Entrepreneurs vs. investors: a match made in heaven?”

After being welcomed by our CEO Bernard Thuysbaert, Jan Baptist Cooreman (Manager Deminor Ghent Office) had the pleasure of moderating the debate between Ann De Groote (Sack Estate), Jeroen De Wit (Teamleader) and Kenneth Depuydt (Creafund). Based on their practical experience, they discussed the sometimes difficult relationship between entrepreneurs and managers on the one hand and private equity or professional investors on the other.

Before the debate, the guests had the opportunity to participate in two information sessions, in the context of our services:

  • Session 1: fundraising & rules of the game
  • Session 2: private equity case study

After the debate, the numerous invitees could further network and discuss during a walking dinner.

The success of this evening confirms our conviction that the chosen topic is particularly relevant for managers and entrepreneurs.
